"O you who have faith! Do not be like those who disbelieved and said to their brethren when they had gone out on a journey or were on an expedition, 'Had they been with us, they would not have died or been killed.' Allah causes them to say this to make them regret what they could not do. (21)"
In this verse, Allah warns those who have faith but are wavering, that if they were to revert to disbelief, their entire lives' work would be rendered useless.
